ORPHANS & VULNERABLE CHILDREN
TOV faces the very challenging yet rewarding task of contributing to improving the living standards in the daily lives of 30 Orphans and Vulnerable Children.
At TOV 30 children are fed on a daily basis at Rev. Amadhila’s house. Lunch usually consists of Pap (a porridge-like substance you eat with your hands) or macaroni or maize.
All 30 children supported by TOV have their school fees, Uniforms and other clothing provided as well as school materials.View some of our children.
TOV is eager to extend the numbers of OVC’s it is working with in the future if it can secure enough resources and financial assistance.
TOV KINDERGARTEN
Possibly the nosiest, busiest and must energetic Kindergarten in Tsumeb.
60 children attend the preschool (at least 10 of these are unable to pay the fees of N$30—about 3GBP per month). This is held in a house owned by the Municipality.
The Kindergarten faces the challenges of having very limited space for so many children and limited materials to occupy the kids time. However every year TOV holds a fantastic graduation ceremony for all the children when they leave to go to school.
Teachers Amon and Monet find the work with children very rewarding and are committed to helping the children get a good start in life.
