Building today for a brighter tomorrow

AIDS already accounts for 9% of adult deaths from infectious diseases in the developing world.  By 2020, that share will quadruple to more than 37%.  The global death toll will soon surpass the worst epidemics of recorded history. The TOV team !

There are  5 members of the TOV work team that deliver services to the community on a daily basis.

Rev. Edward Amadhila is the Project Manager who has achieved great things with TOV over the last five years. He is wholly committed to alleviating the suffering of some of the poorest people around him and contributes a great level of energy and motivation to the centre and its staff.

Godfried Mukororo AKA Eddy is the Project promoter and Kids club manager for TOV. Eddy is committed to representing and promoting TOV at many partner and associate meetings. Alongside this Eddy runs the after school activities at TOV, and has a great rapport with the young people who attend it.

Teachers Amon and Melisa face the great task of caring for and teaching 60 children at the TOV Kindergarten every day.

VSO has placed two full time volunteers with the project.  Benjamin Mukoto has just joined the team from Kenya – he is the Organisational Development Adviser specializing in Agribusiness and will be focusing on Organisational strategy and development of the project.
Deborah Bayliss was our Youth For Development volunteer whose role was to improve the standard of teaching at the Kindergarten and build the capacity of the two teachers, but due to other goodwill commitments ,she left and we are now waiting for the next volunteer in March next year. Also to introduce new after school activities for the young people that attend TOV centre which aims to develop their self confidence, increase their awareness of HIV/AIDS and improve literacy and learning.

The team is a lively, enthusiastic, and a committed group who meet weekly to discuss the arising issues and challenges facing TOV.
